Open Academy 2025 - Artistic Residency Gorizia
Through this residency – a collaboration between QuiAltrove association in Gorizia and the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice – we were asked to create an environmental awareness campaign. Through meetings with experts and a lot of research, we – four students from the graphic design and communication course and four students from the illustration course – discussed the creation of a campaign structured around illustrated stories. Each story proposed a different theme, chosen within the group, which did not have a direct reference to a behavior to be followed, but which evoked, through words and related images, a feeling of care towards environmental and social issues. Hence the name of the project, "Da qui" (from here), which refers to the starting point from which each of us can take individual action to make the collective space more livable, in the name of a sense of community that must re-emerge in this era of individualism, which is often indifferent to social and environmental issues.
